Horror of Connecticut Triple Murder

In 2007 two men broke into the Petit family home in Chersire, Conn. They severly injured the father, and killed the wife and two daughters. Steven J. Hayes was convicted of the murders on Wednesday Nov 8th and was sentenced to death. The trial detailed the depravity, sexual assaults, robbery and strangulation to which the family was subjected. The second perpetrator, Joshua Komisarjevsky is scheduled to be tried in the Spring of 2011. He has been portrayed as the instigator of some of the most horrific acts committed on the Petit family. He is charged with sexually assaulting and then photographing Michela Petit the 11 year old daughter. Lawyers stated that the next trial will likely focus on Michaela's last hours which most people won't want to hear.
